The 4K400

Want to take on the 4K but can't swing 7 or 10 weeks? Then walk-- or ride-- this way! The 4K 400 brings all the same levels of fun in a one-week experience from Baltimore to Boston, June 25-July 2, 2023.

4K400 FAQ

Where does it go?

You’ll start off in Baltimore’s beautiful Inner Harbor (hey hon!) before heading north for your final destination, Boston’s Harbor (it’s wicked nice).  Along the way you’ll go through Philly (for a cheesesteak), NYC (bagel time!), New Haven (grab a slice), Providence (chowdah time) for adventures and galvanting.

When is The 4K400?

June 25, 2023- July 2, 2023
You will meet your team at in-person orientation on June 23rd and 24th and prepare for send-off on the 25th.  You’ll arrive into Boston on the 2nd.

How fit do I need to be?

Riders average 65 miles a day, with some longer and some shorter days.  You should be comfortable riding 60 miles or more to be prepared for the experience.

Runners average 7-12 miles a day and run relay-style in ~3 mile increments, taking breaks shuttling in a vehicle in between. You should be comfortable running up to 7 miles ahead of the trip.

How do I sign up?

Sign up is quick and easy.  You’ll pay a $100 registration that counts towards your fundraising and you’ll be on your way!  Click here to register now.

Who can do The 4K400?

The 4K400 is open to anyone between the ages of 18-38 years old! Unlike our traditional 4K, we have opened up the age limit to allow our awesome alumni the opportunity to take part. Whether you are new to Ulman or have been a longtime supporter, sign up to stay connected and have the week of a lifetime.

What's the commitment?

Signing up for The 4K400 includes a $3,000 fundraising minimum. Included in registration is two jerseys, a short sleeve, a long sleeve, a sweatshirt, a duffle bag and the experience of a lifetime!

How does it work?

Just bring yourself, your bike or your running shoes and Ulman will take care of the rest! We will plan your routes each day and reach out to the communities you will be passing through to organize some incredible hosts each night. Meals throughout the week will be donation based, we will practice donation requests during orientation!

How will COVID-19 impact the 4K?

We are pleased to have had a safe and successful 2021 4K for Cancer, and we are planning for the same in 2022. With an increased focus on COVID safety precautions and a newly developed “safe to ride and run” criteria Ulman’s 4K for Cancer program will be taking place this summer.
