Skylar Tarborelli

Skylar is a junior at Cecil College. In the summer of 2012 she is riding with a group of college students on a 70 day, 4000+ mile bike ride from Baltimore to Seattle.

What is your connection with the cancer community?

Cancer does not discriminate. We all know someone who has cancer or lost a loved one from cancer. My Pop pop struggled through his cancer, and he won the fight! I know so many people who are battling the horrible fight against cancer, and my hope is that one day cancer will not stand a chance.

Why are you riding the 4K for Cancer?

I am riding the 4K for Cancer because I want to be activist against cancer, and 4K allows me the perfect opportunity to do just that! I am riding for all those who have lost someone to cancer or will one day. I want to not just be a silent supporter but one who can share their journey and inspire others to join!
