What is your connection with the cancer community?
Everyone has a connection to the cancer community and for me it started when i was very young. My grandfather on my dad's side lost his life from cancer. I was young enough to not know really what was going on except that he was very sick. I remember the funeral and how sad it was for everyone there. Later in my life my other grandfather was diagnosed and although I was a little bit older i still did not understand how serious his diagnosis was. Thankfully he is still with us after beating his cancer.
Why are you riding the 4K for Cancer?
The past year i have been to a couple YACS events and raced some triathlons with the Ulman Cancer Fund. Through all of these events i have heard so many stories about how cancer has effected peoples lives and it really is a cool thing to be able to join the fight by riding across the country this year.
