What is your connection to the cancer community?
My motivation isn't as much about MY connection with the cancer community, but rather it's about the saddened truth that nearly everyone in our world is connected to the cancer community. Whether it be a family member or a friend, someone in your school or on your block, every community is effected by cancer. For this reason, I want to fight this battle and keep cancer out of my life and the lives of my loved ones.
Why are you traveling over 4000 miles this summer with the 4K?
I have always wanted to take part in something bigger than myself with an altruistic goal. When I heard about the 4K for Cancer, I fell in love with not only the story of the foundation, but also the goals and mission of the organization as a whole. This will be a once of a lifetime opportunity to work as a team in order to reach out to the cancer community, meet and serve individuals who have fought cancer and recognize them for their courage.
And my question for you... Why AREN'T you traveling across the country this summer with the 4K?
