Waking up at 4am this morning was rough but very necessary.  It took some time to pack away all 9 tents, and it was bound to be a very hot day.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get to ride through and out of the Badlands this morning and had to man the water van instead; but Ella, Doug, and I did our best to support our riders with epic encouraging chalking, extra water stops, and boxes of snacks.
