2012 Team Portland

2012 marks our 11th year of cycling across the country in the fight against cancer and the second year of our Baltimore to Portland ride. This 70 day, 4400 mile ride follows parts of the traditional leg one route of our previous 10 4K rides: after leaving Baltimore’s Inner Harbor we head north to southern Pennsylvania where we strike west through Ohio. The ride continues through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska before landing in Boulder, CO where we meet up with our San Francisco ride for the 4th of July. From Boulder, the route takes a distinctive northern turn into Wyoming’s Teton National Park. We then head south to Salt Lake city before turning west again through Idaho and into Oregon.

Route highlights include cycling through Tetons, alongside the Great Salt Lake, Yellowstone National Park, Craters of the Moon National Monument, the Painted Hills of Oregon and the Willamette Valley.
